YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA WINS WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM CRYSTAL AWARD

South African music legend and UN ambassador, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, has been awarded with the World Economic Forum Crystal award, making her the first African woman to receive that particular award. The music legend was awarded recently in Davos, Switzerland for her fight for freedom and justice in South Africa, her Roll Back Malaria Partnership, and also her Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
The award, which started in 1995, is aimed at distinguishing artistes who have used their respective talents to improve the state of the world. Past winners include Youssou N’Dour, Richard Gere, Quincy Jones and Bono of U2
