UCL Report: Chelsea Fight Back Against Ajax, Osimhen Scores, Liverpool Win

Chelsea fought back from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 against nine-man Ajax in a Group H fixture of matchday four of the UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

 Ajax, who lost the reverse fixture, got off to the best start in the second minute through an own goal by Tammy Abraham.
Chelsea equalised just three minutes after Ajax’s opener after Jorginho converted from the penalty spot.
Winger Quincy Promes scored in the 20 minutes to give Ajax a 2-1 lead.
An own goal by Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga made it 3-1 in the 35th minute, before Donny van de Beeck added the Dutch club’s fourth goal in the 55th minute.
Chelsea halved the deficit through skipper Cesar Azpilicuerta in the 63rd minute, which brought the score to 4-2.
Things went south for Ajax as they suffered a double dismissal in quick succession following the sending off of Daley Blind and Joel Veltman in the 68th and 69th minute respectively.
Chelsea took advantage of the sending off and scored in the 71st minute via another penalty scored by Jorginho.
And just three minutes after Jorginho’s goal, Reece James completed the comeback when he grabbed Chelsea’s equaliser.
Despite the draw, Ajax still sit top of the group on seven points, same point as second-placed Chelsea.
At Anfield, Liverpool defeated Genk 2-1 to clinch their third win in Group E.
Georginio Wijnaldum opener scoring for Liverpool in the 14th minute, before Mbwana Samata equalised for the visitors in the 41st minute.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the winner for Liverpool in the 53rd minute to seal their win.
The Merseyside club occupy top spot in Group E with nine points and are closely followed by Napoli on eight points.
At the Signal Idunna Park, Borussia Dortmund came from 2-0 down to beat Inter Milan 3-2.
Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino scored on 5th and 40th minutes respectively to put Inter 2-0 ahead.
But a second half revival by Dortmund with Achraf Hakimi’s brace (51 and 77 minutes) and Julian Brandt (64 minutes) goal, helped the Geman club to victory.
Other results on Tuesday saw Barcelona held at home by Slavia Prague, Napoli and Salzburg play 1-1 and Zenit lost 2-0 at home to Leipzig.
In Spain, Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, scored for Lille who lost 4-1 to Valencia.
Osimhen gave Lille the lead on 25 minutes, but Valencia came back stronger in the second half thanks to goals from Daniel Parejo  (60 minutes penalty), Adama Soumaoro (own goal, 82 minutes), Geofrey Kondogbia (84 minutes) and Ferran Torres (90 minutes).
