TU FACE AT SWE- BACK TO THE FUTURE

Riding off the once again rising stock of Nigerian super star, Swe Bar organized an appreciation night for the artiste known as Tu Face Idibia.

On Saturday, July 17, fans and well wishers including several artistes gathered at Swe Bar to celebrate the achievements of a musical icon.

Some of the celebrities at the event were; Zeez, Lami, M.I, Ice Prince, Faze, Durella, Naeto C, and Djinee. The event was anchored by Tee-A and Julius Agwu and together they reminded us why 2 Baba remains the greatest artiste of his generation. His discography which stretches nearly over a decade was played much to the adoration of the guests.

Starting with songs from the Plantashun Boyz era and ending up with his latest songs, the guests recited each song line by line.

Appreciative of the love he was receiving, Tu Face performed, cracked jokes, danced and at times merely sat down whenever he was humbled from all the love he was getting. Sitting beside him was OJB Jezreel whom many consider as the producer that ignited Tu Face's solo career in 2004. Dressed in all black like Tu Face he too was humbled by the entire affair. Just as folks recognized the immense contribution of OJB in Tu's career J Sleek was applauded for being the new producer behind Tu Face’s new hit songs- Only Me and Implication.

M.I also took at time to note the impact Tu Face has had on his career and how he has influenced virtually all the artistes in the country.

As the night progressed it was clear to all that Tu Face is an artiste in a zone of his own. Once mired in controversy he has been able to leave all that behind him and chart a new course for himself. He has been able to reset his career back to when his future was bright. Yeah you can say that Tu Face is now back to the future.
